What have you learned from your audience feedback?

For my audience feedback I hosted focus group and asked the 30 people who attended a series of questions regarding my media products. All results are shown on Wordle.

What musical genre would you place my digipak?

The majority of the responses said that they thought my media product would be placed within the Rock/Alternative/Indie genre. These are the genres that I would have placed my artist in and feel that it is where she is best placed. I think the tattoo style artwork, vivid background and the font on the digipak help place the work into an alternative/rock genre. 

Is the video something you would expect to see from a female artist?

From this wordle I can see that the responses are very varied. Most thought that this video wasn't any thing too shocking to see come from a female artist but a big majority of the responses were either Nope or Not really, meaning that although a lot of the responses did say that it is something they would expect from a female artist, a big group of the responses thought it was unusual and different and may not have linked the video to a solo female artist.

What were some good things from the video?

From this wordle I can see that a lot of the responses thought the editing techniques I used such as the cuts between shots, and the way I altered colours ect was one of the best things about the video. A lot of the responses said that they liked the actress who featured in the video and thought the story of the video was something they enjoyed. The lighting is the smallest word on the cloud because not many of the responses thought it was the best part of the video. Im glad that things such as editing, actress and storyline are the more popular words used, and feel that these elements will help make my work look professional and popular. 

What are some of the bad things about all print work? (digipak and advertisement)

From this wordle I can see that most of the responses thought that my print work was a bit too busy, and very similar to each other. I think that by using a lot of colour, artwork and the vivid background may have made the print work too busy and cluttered. Although I kept to a colour scheme I think that the work may have had too many elements which made it look like too much was happening and in conclusion making my print work, loud, cluttered and too busy. I felt it would be good to ask about negative things about my work aswell as positive so it would help me when working on other print pieces in the future.
